Geraldine Dishman was born July 17, 1940 and departed this life Thursday, April 29, 2021 reaching the age of 80 years. She was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Leona Pauline (Jacobs) Newton.

She is survived by: one son, Terry Dishman; one grandson, Noah Dishman; and one sister Mary Riviera; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Rudolph and Leona Newton, she was preceded in death by: one brother, Wayne Newton; and one sister, Joanne Hubbard.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 2, 2021 between 12 pm – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some restrictions for service attendance.
