Gerald Gibson was born July 26, 1951 and departed this life Wednesday, March 25, 2009 reaching the age of 57 years. He was the son of Edith Morgan Boone Gibson and the late Robert Ryan "Bob" Gibson.

He is survived by: his mother- Edith Gibson of Lexington, KY, and 1 brother- Ralph (and his wife- Paula) Gibson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by: his father- Bob Gibson.

Jerry was a native of Monticello who worked at local radio stations WFLW-AM and WKYM-FM during the 70's and 80's and later developed their websites. He also assisted many of the state's newspapers with the installation and maintenance of their computers systems, including The Times Journal. He and Dave Davenport created lakecumberland.com website devoted to promoting Lake Cumberland and the surrounding area.

He was a loving son, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
