Georgia Lee Kennedy was born April 26th, 1928 in the Powersburg community of Wayne County, KY and departed this life Monday, May 12th, 2003, reaching the age of 75 years. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Harrison Lee and Liza Anna Guffey Lee.

She was united in marriage to Gilbert Kennedy and to this union six children were born.

She is survived by her husband Gilbert, two sons-Jerry Ben Kennedy of Hartford City, IN and William Bruce Kennedy of Monticello, KY and four daughters-Donna Neal, Mollie Denney, and Polly Stinson, all of Monticello, KY and Patsy Perdue of Alpha, KY. She is survived by six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one step grandchild and two step great grandchildren.

She is also survived by one brother-Joe Lee of New Castle, IN, along with several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, ten brothers-Clarence, Bill, Jess, Walter, Robert, Raymond, Tom, Don, Chester and Sam Lee and three sisters-Bertha Hancock, Bertie Guffey and Ruby Morgan.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, relative and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Visitation: The family will receive friends after 4 PM on Tuesday, May 13th, 2003 in the chapel.
Funeral Service: The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 14th, 2003 at 1 PM in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home.
Interment: Burial will be in the Gap Creek Cemetery.
