George William Young, age 72, son of the late Ephrium Nelson and Alta Mae (Russell) Young, born January 29, 1951, and passed away on November 29, 2023.

George leaves behind a wife Judy K, two daughters, Stella Marie Wilson and Nancy Kay Fox of Nicholasville, a son, George Douglas Young of Monticello, and two stepsons, Jason and James Gantz, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren; four brothers, Charles (Roe), Ray, Killis, and Richard Young; two sisters, Joyce Tuggle and Betty Stephenson of Monticello; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Ephrium, his mom Alta, and 5 brothers, Johnny, James (Dick), Thomas (Pooch), Robert, and Jack.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 2, 2023, between 10 am – 1 pm at the Parnell Church of God.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 1 pm at the Parnell Church of God with burial to follow.
