Obituary
George Doss was born January 13, 1928 and departed this life Saturday, February 9, 2008 reaching the age of 80 years. He was the son of the late Harve Doss and Mattie Tackett Doss.
He is survived by: three sons- Timothy Lee Doss of Monticello, KY, Matthew Dwayne Doss of Indianapolis, IN and Larry Kay Hatfield of Lawrenceburg, IN, five daughters- Peggy Jean Gross of New Castle, IN, Lane Lewis of Monticello, KY, Patricia Louise Mellis of Indianapolis, IN, Barbara Lynn Hatfield of Indianapolis, IN, and Roberta Jo Cox of Alaska, 17 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
IN addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife- Mary Doss, one son- George Doss, Jr., three brothers- John Henry, Austin, and Clyde Doss, and three sisters- Margaret Sumpter, Marie Abner, and Louise Barnes.
He was a loving father, grandfather, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation: Wednesday, February 13th after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Thursday, February 14th at 2 pm
Interment: Alexander Cemetery
