Geneva Dick was born November 9, 1936 and departed this life Wednesday, February 15, 2017 reaching the age of 80 years. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Ruby (Waters) Stringer.

She married Richard Dick and to this union 4 children were born.

She is survived by: two sons, David Dick (Sherry) and John Dick (Stacy); one daughter, Juanelle Smith (Scott); five grandchildren, Heather Surber (Eric), Jacob Dick, Wesley Dick (Katherine), Matthew Dick and Makayla Smith. She is also survived by: one brother, James Harry Stringer; and two sisters, Myra Eastham and Sheila Riley; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Harry and Ruby Stringer, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Richard Dick; one son, Terry Dick; and two sisters, Patricia Leigh and Peggy Stewart.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 17th after 5 pm in the chapel of the funeral home and Saturday, February 18th from 10 am until the funeral at 1 pm at New Salem Baptist Church. Burial will be in the New Salem Cemetery.
