Geneta Faye Cummings was born August 23, 1941 and departed this life August 6, 2022 reaching the age of 80 years. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Marjorie (Atkinson) Porter.

She is survived by: her husband of 66 years, Samuel Cummings, Sr.; two grandchildren, Samantha Cummings and Cody Cummings; two great-grandchildren, Cameron Catron and Carly Cummings; and one brother, Tom (Nancy) Porter; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Sam and Marjorie Porter, she was preceded in death by: her son, Sam Cummings, Jr.; and one sister, Vickie (Porter) Pollitt.

She was a member of New Charity Baptist Church.  She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and most of all, spending time with her family.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
