Gavin Jones, 48, of Monticello, Ky, passed away at his home on August 4, 2025. Gavin was born June 11, 1977, the son of the late Colman and Carol Jones.

After graduating from college, Gavin worked as an auditor for the state of Kentucky for 25 years, making many friends while there.

He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Gavin was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Katie Jones; one aunt, Mary Patton; and several cousins.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 11, 2025, between 10:30 am until 1:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
