Gary Sloan was born March 11, 1954 and departed this life Friday, September 15, 2017 reaching the age of 63 years. He was the son of Lois (Jones) Sloan and the late Bill Sloan.

In addition to his mother, Lois Sloan, he is survived by: his wife, Janie Sloan; his daughter, Raesha (Jordan) Meece; three step-daughters, Ronda Poore, Christy Simpson, and Katrina Crabtree; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bro. Bill Sloan and his grandson, Braxton Meece.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 18, 2017 between 5 pm – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 10 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
