Gary Lee Pennington was born 8/16/1937 and departed this life 9/30/2004 reaching the age of 67 years. He was the son of Clyde Edgar Pennington and Eva Thompson Pennington.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia West Pennington of Monticello, KY to whom he wed on August 30, 1958; 3 sons, Mark Pennington of Georgetown, KY, Steve Pennington of Pigeon Forge, TN, and West Pennington of Georgetown, KY; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by 1 brother, Carlos Pennington of Paris, KY; 2 sisters, Sandra Engle of The Village, FL and Jan Dunn of Wilmington, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Eva Pennington.

He attended the Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon, TN. After he graduated from the academy he attended the University of Kentucky and then Cumberland College. He also served in the United States Army.

Friends may call on Saturday, October 2 after 5 PM, Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home and Sunday, October 3 between 5-8 PM, Johnson's Funeral Home in Georgetown, KY. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 4 at 11 AM at Johnson's Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery in Paris, KY.
