Gary Burke was born on March 27, 1954, and departed this life on Friday, October 4, 2024, reaching the age of 70 years. He was the son of the late Willard and Mary (Gregory) Burke.

He is survived by two sons, Chad E. Burke and John Paul Burke (Angela); one daughter, Sara Burke Hatch; ten grandchildren, Dallas Burke, Austin Clark, Christian Clark, Ben Clark, Nathan Stearns, Bailey Jones (Lacinda), Brianna Burke, Joseph Burke, Ciara Burke, and Jackson Burke; and four great-grandchildren, Jeriah Jones, Nova Yager, June Jones, and Cassie Yager.

He is also survived by: one brother, Chris Burke; and two sisters, Loretta Corder (Andy) and Susan Burnett (Bruce); along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Burke; one daughter, Tara Marie Burke; one son, Erick Burke; and sisters, Linda Jones, Darcus Ann, and Karen Ann Burke.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 7, 2024, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Carl Kidd Cemetery.  Full military honors will be provided by our local DAV Chapter 105.
