Fredia Ann (York) Norris, of Monticello, Kentucky, was born January 8, 1954, and made her heavenly journey on February 27, 2026, surrounded by family.

Fredia was the daughter of the late John Thomas York and Margaret Lee (Molen) York. She was united in marriage to William Edward Norris, Jr., on October 13, 1975, celebrating 50 years of marriage last fall.

She is survived by three children, Jeremy (Deven) Norris, Danielle (Dew-y) Sage, and Brittany Norris; three siblings, Betty Kimbler, Thomasine (Emerson) Dick, and David (Carolyn) York; five grandchildren, Molly, Elias, Lily, Erin, and Orion Sage; a sister-in-law, Debbie Reeder; and a host of nieces and nephews to mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, along with one brother-in-law, Larry Kimbler; a nephew, Daniel Kimbler; and a niece, Kelly Kimbler.

Fredia accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior as a child and was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Her life was characterized by her quiet, steadfast faith and devotion to family. She was known for her kind words, caring heart, and spunky spirit. Fredia lived out her faith lifting up those around her through small gestures, personal letters, and faithful prayers. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 5:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 11:00 am at Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home, with Bro. David Sears and Bro. Mike Huffaker officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Mountain View Baptist Camp.
