Freddy Lynn Davis was born July 3, 1966, and departed this life Tuesday, November 11, 2025, reaching the age of 59 years. He was the son of the late Omer Davis and Lena (Bell) Kidd. Freddy was the last surviving child of the Omer Davis children.

He married Ruth Holder on July 10, 1999.

He is survived by: his wife, Ruth Davis; one son, Walter Sowell (Hannah); two daughters, Casey Sowell Vandiver (Ashley) and Evelyn Cheyanne Sowell (Daniel Grigsby); and two grandchildren, Parker and Emma; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: six brothers, Elbert, Parker, Jack, Orville, Randy, and Frankie Davis; and four sisters, Ena Houchens, Velma Jean Parmley, Antha Stack, and Margie Nicholson.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 16, 2025, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, November 17, 2025,  at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
