Freddie Kay Ward was born January 26, 1941, and departed this life August 12, 2024, reaching the age of 83 years. He was the son of the late William "Bill" Ward and Evelyn (Lee) Smith.

He is survived by: his long-time companion of Wanda Miller; children, Tony Ward, Dale Miller, Tina Pearson, and Teresa Smith; one sister, Carolyn Garner; and twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Bill Ward and Evelyn Smith, he was preceded in death by one sister, Francis Duff.

He be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, between 10:30 am – 12 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 12 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
