Obituary

Fred Tucker was born March 23rd, 1931, and departed this life on November 22nd having reached the age of 92 years. He was the son of Harvey and Mollie (Denney) Tucker.

On October 28th, 1950, he was united in marriage to Wilma Lou Corder and to this union nine children were born: Jimmie (Elsie) Tucker, Helen (Donnie) Gregory, Randall (Gaye) Tucker, Larry (Dianna) Tucker, Carolyn (Calvin) Branscum, Janie (David) Turner, David (Angie) Tucker, Harvey (Jill) Tucker and Kathleen (Jimmy) Coffey.

He is survived by all nine of his children and their spouses, 24 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren and 23 Great GreatGrandchildren, and one sister, Thelma Denney.

In addition to his parents, Harvey and Mollie Tucker, he was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Wilma. God blessed them with a large and loving family consisting of 125 immediate family members. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Fordie and Eugene Tucker and four sisters, Nellie Martin, Oreda Tucker, Flonnie Dick and Estella Tucker.

Fred was saved and was baptized on November 8th, 1947. He was a faithful and lifelong member of the Clay Hill Baptist Church in Monticello, KY. Fred recalls going to Clay Hill since he was a young child and estimates he went there for 89 of his 92 years. Fred also served as a Deacon for Clay Hill Baptist Church and was ordained on September 11th, 1965. His dedication to the Lord served as a lifelong example to his children and all who knew him.

Fred enjoyed riding horses, hunting and making swings and rocking chairs. He will be remembered fondly and will be missed greatly.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 25, 2023, between 5pm - 8pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 26, 2023, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Clay Hill Cemetery.
