Fred  "Booster" Howard Shelton was born July 31, 1941 and departed this life Thursday, November 4, 2021 reaching the age of 80 years. He was the son of the late Everett and Lela (Smith) Shelton.

He is survived by: two half-brothers, Ronnie Joe Shelton, and Porter Shelton; one stepbrother, George Foster; and one sister, Maggie Meredith; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his stepmother, Derlie Shelton; half-brothers, Billy Everett Shelton, Sammy Shelton, David Ray Shelton, and Jethro Shelton; stepbrothers, Loren Foster, Norman Shelton, Ed Ray Shelton; and two sisters, Marlene Prince and Laura Lee Phipps.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 12, 2021 between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Crabtree Cemetery.
