Obituary
FRANKLIN HOUCHENS was born July 23, 1931 and departed this life July 9, 2005 reaching the age of 73 years. He was the son of John Houchens and Verda Robertson Houchens.
He was united in marriage to Ena Davis and to this union three daughters were born.
He is survived by his wife, Ena Houchens; three daughters, Wilma Van Laningham, Hazel Young and Sharon Huffaker; five grandchildren, Rick, Tina, Sheila, Sherri, and Duane; and nine great grandchildren, Paige, Morgan, Erin, Mandy, Melanie, Taylor, Kyle, Christi, and Megan.
He is also survived by nine brothers and sisters, Bill, Paul, James, Eddie, Margie, Sarah, Carol, Patty, and Marcie; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Verda Houchens; one brother, Johnny; and one sister, Nell.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation: Monday, July 11 after 5 pm and Tuesday, July 12 after 8 am
Funeral Service: Tuesday, July 12 at 1 pm
Interment: Taylor's Grove Cemetery
