Frank Glenn Adams (74) passed away May 16, 2022 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. Frank was born October 10, 1947, in Urbana, Illinois to Grant Burns and Rena (Miller/O'Neil) Adams. He grew up in Philo, IL.

Frank served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, he was honorably discharged after his service. He moved to Ft. Myers, FL in 1973. Frank worked for the Ft. Myers Police Dept. and then the Lee County Port Authority Police Dept. This is where he helped to develop the bomb disposal unit. He then went on to the State Attorney's office in Lee County, FL as a lead investigator where he retired after many years of service. Frank was extremely well respected in the law enforcement community. In retirement Frank drove a school bus for some time. He continued protecting those kids just like he did while in law enforcement for all those many years. In everything he did he loved protecting others, especially the children. He will be missed.

The world lost one of the good guys on May 16, 2022. Survivors: Son Frank J (Jolene) Adams North Fort Myers, FL, Sisters Rena (Joseph) Tempel, Trinity, TX, Becky (Charles) Schaefer Maeystown, IL. Granddaughter Darby and Grandson Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will hold a private service.
