Frances Mildred Selvidge, 87, passed away July 31, 2013, in Colorado Springs, CO.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Dennis) Hadders of Monument, CO ; grandson: Jonathan (Sarah) Hadders; great grandchildren: Noah and Autumn Hadders all of Erie, CO; sister: Virginia Clines of Raleigh, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert D. Selvidge, parents, Bertie and Mabel (Coffey) Dolen, and brothers, Kelly and Frank Dolen. Frances was born January 2, 1926. She and Robert were married December 19, 1948.
She was an elementary school teacher in Kentucky and Indiana for 44 years, mostly in the primary grades. At different points over the years, she has been a member of the Oil Valley Church of Christ, the Lowell Church of Christ, and the Northside Church of Christ in Colorado Springs.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 5 2013 from 5-9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 10am in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
The Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
