Frances Elizabeth Elam Booth was born April 4, 1921 and departed this life September 23, 2003 reaching the age of 82 years. She was the daughter of Roscoe Newton (Jute) and Mayme Tipton Elam.

She was born in the Coffey Mountain community of Wayne County.

She is survived by 2 sons – Emberson (Veronica) Foster of Milton, KY, and James (Roseanna) Foster of Somersest, KY, 1 stepson – Daniel booth of West Lafayette, IN, 1 stepdaughter – Evelyn Lewellen of Logansport, IN, 6 grandchildren – Timothy (Sandy) Foster of Pensacola, FL, Tracy (Steve) Ralston of Holopaw, FL, Deanna Lewis of Branden, FL, Jason (Kerry) Foster of Sheppard AFB, TX, Mark and Elizabeth Foster of Somerset, KY, and 8 great grandchildren., 1 brother – Oweda Elam and 1 sister – Agatha Ruff both of Muncie, IN, along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Earl Booth, whom she married in 1954 at Jeffersonville, IN, her parents, and 2 sisters – Dorothy and Lexie Elam.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, the Gideon Bible Plan or the charity of your choice.


Visitation: The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 4 between the hours of 3:00 and 5:00 pm
Funeral Service: Memorial Services will be held Saturday, October 4 at 5:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
