Obituary

Floyd (Bill) Luther Riddle was born June 14, 1931 and departed from this life on, Sunday, January 1, 2023 reaching the age of 91. He was the son of the late Loren and Esther (Patrick) Riddle.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Hagen (David); granddaughters Toni Brittingham (Clyde), Dena Hagen(Brycen), Benji Burchett (Patrick) and Grandson Richard Hagen; Great-Grandchildren Kaitlyn Ridener, Noah Burchett, Summer Young (Kyle), Larkin and Haley Hagen; Great Great Grandchildren Lily and Clay Young.

He was preceded in death by his wife Tena; parents Loren and Esther; brother's John and James, and sister Robin.  A host of family and friends will mourn his passing.

Floyd served in the United States Army where he learned to weld and came home to apply this skill until he retired at Monticello Machine Shop.   He enjoyed whittling, horseshoes, and Bluegrass music.  He will best be remembered as a loving father and Pappy to those whose lives he touched.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 6, 2022, between 11 am – 2  pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2022, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.  Military honors will be provided by our local DAV Chapter 105.
