Flora Morris was born December 8, 1922 and departed this life Friday, January 14, 2011 reaching the age of 88. She was the daughter of the late James and Savannah (Vaughn) Gregory.

She was united in marriage to David Morris and to this union 6 children were born.

She is survived by: 2 sons, Rufus Morris and Joe Morris; 2 daughters, Anna Morris and Linda Morrisett; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, James and Savannah Gregory, she was preceded in death by: her husband, David Morris; 2 daughters, Bonnie Gregory and Mary Sue Vaughn; 1 brother, Lewis Gregory; 4 sisters, Sara Jane Coffey, Cora Vaughn, Martha Gregory, and Lexi Vaughn; and 1 grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 16, 2011 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 17, 2011 at 1 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Bunch and Bro. Denzel Jones officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
