Fletcher Melton was born January 18, 1914 in Cumberland County, KY and departed this life Friday, October 25th, 2002, reaching the age of 88 years. He was the son of Blane Melton and Nannie Vaughn Melton.

He was united in marriage to Algie Davis Melton.

He is survived by his wife Algie, two brothers-Hack Melton of Charlestown, IN and Otis Melton of New Salsbury, IN, along with several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.

He was a loving husband, brother, uncle and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation: The family will receive friends after 4 PM on Sunday, October 27th, 2002 in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: The funeral service will be Monday, October 28th, 2002 at 1 PM in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home.
Interment: Burial will follow in the Parmley's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
