He was a loving, caring and devoted husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and dear friend to many who knew him, who will be dearly missed.
He gave his life to the Lord and Jesus Christ in 1946 and became a faithful and long-time member of over forty years at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 35 years. He later moved his membership to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, where he remained until his health did not allow him to attend. Everett devoted his life to the Lord, his wife and family, although he is gone from our presence, he will remain in our hearts forever.
He was a carpenter who built houses for almost 40 years, he loved being outside and was a beekeeper who loved to keep beehives and collect honey. He was always there to lend a helping hand; he was one of a kind. If he was here, he would say do not cry for me even though I am gone from your sight, because I have entered into rest, where there is no more pain, no more suffering. I will live on in your heart. I am at peace, my soul is resting, no need for tears, because with your love I was blessed.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 4, 20204, after 5 pm at Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 2 pm at Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
