Esther Bernice McClellan, 79, of Monticello, KY, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 11:40 a.m.
She was born on December 10, 1936. She was the daughter of Frazier and Cecil Harris. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jimmy Harris; sisters Lucille Smith, Mazie Muncie, and Ruby Turner. She is survived by sisters, Edna Hughes and Velma Turner; and a brother, Junior Harris.
She was married December 20, 1952, to Bill McClellan. To this union three children were born, Vickie (Gary) Gregory, Billy K (Julie) McClellan, Stephen McClellan; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Young, Derek Gregory, Kaitlyn, Nathaniel, Michael, Cheyenne, Jaden, and Jordan McClellan; four great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Kamryn, and Kaylee Young, and Kenzleigh Mansfield.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Monticello Lions Club, T.O.P.S., and Busy Bee's Homemakers Club. She spent her life as a homemaker, baking cakes, walking, going to the fitness center; she enjoyed spending time with her family, and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 22, 2016 after 5:30 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
