Ernest "Porter" Lowe was born July 25, 1937, and departed this life Saturday, January 11, 2025, reaching the age of 87 years. He was the son of (the late) Lincoln and Mary (Bass) Lowe.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joyce Lowe; three daughters, Rita Mink, Carolyn Tucker, and Mary Kathy Hicks; seven grandchildren, Timothy & Derek Tucker, Troy Hicks, Kristy Ann Morrow, and Eric, Cody, & Casey Mink; eighteen great-grandchildren, Kayla, Brinlynn, KaRissa, Cortlynn, & Mattix Tucker, Haley, Jayden, & Emma Hicks, Shaely, Kansas, & Ann-Marie Coffey, Bryce Morrow, Tyson, Azalyn, Damion, Adrien, Brandon, & Rayden Mink; and two great-great-grandchildren, Kaiven Coffey, and Coleson Rose; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Everette Lowe; and one sister, Rose Neal.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 16, 2025, between 5 pm - 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, January 17, 2025, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Old Bethel Church Cemetery.
