Obituary

Eric Lee Adkins, 23, of Monticello, KY died on May 10, 2005, as a result of an auto accident.

Eric was born January 22, 1982 in Portsmouth, Ohio. At age 5 he moved to New Market, Virginia and in Junior High to Loudonville, Ohio. They moved to Monticello in 1998, where Eric graduated from Monticello High School in 2000. He was most recently employed by American Woodmark. Eric loved God, his family, and his country. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, and teasing his cousins. He attended Mt. Pleasant Fellowship in Monticello and when in Oak Hill attended Monroe Chapel.

Eric leaves his loving parents, Jerry and Diane (Arbogast) Adkins of Monticello, KY, and his uncle, Joshua Akdins, also of Monticello. He is also survived by his grandparents, Leigh and Rowena Arbogast of Oak Hill and his great-grandmother, Nora Falk Kuhn, as well as his great-great aunt Hilda (Aunt Tom) Falk of Heartland of Jackson.

Also surviving are aunts and uncles – Jackie and Cindy Adkins, Jay and Carolyn Adkins Harrison, Sheila and Tim Sergent, Brenda McKenzie, Lester Alan Adkins, Eric Glen Adkins, and Clay and Betsy (Dickens) Arbogast of Oak Hill, OH; Debbie and Terry Ridgeway and Marsha and Tony Phillips of Jackson, OH; Jeff and Linda Akdins of Harrisonburg, VA; Jeanne and John Engles of Patriot, OH; Jeanette and Tom Ingles of Monticello, KY.

His cousins, who loved him dearly, and will miss him forever – Valerie Hubbard, Lukas Harrison, Crystal Potts, Stephanie and Angela Ridgeway, Rebekah Adkins, Reid and Stephanie Arbogast, Jill Phillips, Jacinta Phillips, Lester A. Jr. and Stacy Adkins, Jonathon, Elijah, Jarrod, and Justin Ingles.

Eric was preceded in death by his Papaw ad Mamaw, Lester and Peg Adkins.

He will be missed by many other friends and relatives. Eric will always be with us in our hearts.

Services will be held in Monticello, KY on Friday, May 13th with Pastor Darell Bunch of Mt. Pleasant Fellowship officiating.

On Saturday, May 14th, Eric will come home to Oak Hill, where friends may call at Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home between the hours of 4 - 8 pm. The funeral service will be conducted by Pastor David Crabtree, on Sunday, May 15th at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Horeb Cemetery.
