Emogene Breeding, known to all as Jean or Granny Jean, 92 of Monticello, KY, passed away February 27, 2015 at home in Brooksville, FL. where she was living close to her son and his family. She was lovingly cared for by Mary Lane for the past 3 years. She is predeceased by her son, Bobby Breeding.
Emogene was Methodist and member of the Monticello Methodist Church. In her earlier years, she had loved horses and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved cooking and entertaining.
Emogene is survived by her son, Lyle and his wife, Lori, of Tampa, FL, and their children, Mark, Brian and Kent. Her daughter in law, Brenda Raines Breeding of Hendersonville, TN, and Bob and Brenda's children, Elizabeth Breeding and Lauren Garcia, her husband Moises and their child, Havana, her great grandchild.
She is also survived by her brother, Elam Stokes and his wife, Nanne, of Vero Beach, FL, niece Shelly Stokes and nephew, Gary Stokes and his wife Leslie and their child Kyle.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 8, 2015 after 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Memorial services will be held Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
