Emmett Allen Catron was born July 6th, 1922 in the Sunnybrook Community of Wayne County, KY and departed this life Thursday, November 28th, 2002, reaching the age of 80 years. He was the son of William David Catron and Willie Dell Bertram Catron.

He is survived by his wife Glee Savage Catron, two brothers-Esco Catron of Cincinnati, OH and Fred Catron of Monticello, KY, four sisters-Lucy Bertram, Myrtle Burris, Dona Hucaby and Rose Shearer, all of Monticello, KY, and stepchildren-Delmer Vitatoe of Albany, KY, Ronnie Vitatoe of Pall Mall, TN, Joyce Penticuff of Nicholasville, KY, Judy Robbins of Byrdstown, TN and Janice Brown of Albany, KY. He is survived by 10 step granchildren and 7 step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Leta Catron and one brother-Elmer Catron.

He served his country bravely during World War II as a member of the U.S. Armed Forces.

He was a loving husband,step father and grandfather, brother,uncle, relative and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.


Visitation: The family will receive friends after 5 PM EST on Saturday, November 30th, 2002 in the chapel.
Funeral Service: The funeral service will be Sunday, December 1st, 2002 at 2:30 PM in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home.
Interment: Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
