Elvis Parmley was born June 28, 1932 and departed this life Thursday, January 2, 2020 reaching the age of 87 years. He was the son of the late Roscoe and Gertie (Humble) Parmley.

He is survived by: his wife, Gearlene Parmley; five children, Freda (Bill) Ford, Gordon Parmley, Lyndon (Marla) Parmley, Malissa (Richie) Atkinson and Jarrad (Hannah) Parmley; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by:  two brothers, Andrew and Walter Parmley; and six sisters, Zella Parmley, Ruth Baker, Esther Davis, Geneiveve Koger, Pelba Bell, and Vannie Hatfield; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Roscoe and Gertie Parmley, he was preceded in death by: three brothers, Narvel, Lilbern and Marion Ingram Parmley.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 5, 2020 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home and Monday, January 6, 2020 from 10 am – 1 pm at the Parnell Methodist Church.  Funeral services will be held Monday, January 6, 2020 at 1 pm at the Parnell Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Parnell Methodist Church Cemetery.
