Elva "Jean" Gregory was born December 15, 1931, and departed this life May 3, 2023, reaching the age of 91 years. She was the daughter of the late Vernon and Matilda (Jones) Owens.

She is survived by: one brother, Leonard Owens; and one sister, Dorothy Shelton; numerous nieces and nephews and a special great nephew, Bentley; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Vernon and Matilda Owens, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Elmer "Don" Gregory; two sons, Don Gregory and Doug Gregory; two brothers, Klemon Owens and Cecil Owens; and three sisters, Ruby Marcum, Viola Hancock, and Hazel Rains.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 5, 2023, between 11 am – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 5, 2023, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
