Elva Jane Conn was born July 13, 1954, and departed this life Monday, May 12, 2025, reaching the age of 70 years. She was the daughter of the late William and Emma Mae (Brummett) Brown.

She is survived by: six children, Joe Brown, Emma Jean Hill, Melissa Jean Davis, Elizabeth Ann Shearer, James Ray Conn, Jr., and Rebecca Lynn Gregory; and five grandchildren, Jacob James Davis, Jasper Aydin Gregory, Blakely Rayann Shearer, Sawyer Roman Gregory and Genetry Rowan Shearer. She is also survived by:  two brothers, Henry Thomas Brown and Robert Allen Brown; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, William and Emma Mae Brown, she was preceded in death by: her husband, James Ray Conn; one brother, James Michael Brown; and one sister, Eleanor Mae Brown.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 15, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
