Elijah Bolen was born November 21, 2006, and departed this life April 27, 2025, reaching the age of 18 years. He was the son of Chastidy Bolen.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by: two brothers, Wesley Reynolds and Seth Bolen; maternal grandparents, John "B.J." Carter and Frances "Gail" Carter; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Madison Faith Reynolds.

Elijah was a student at Wayne County High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 2025. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Elijah Bolen Memorial Fund, c/o Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 1st, 2025, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, May 2nd, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
