Eleanor May Taylor was born August 19, 1929, and departed this life Friday, September 25, 2026, reaching the age of 97 years. She was the daughter of (the late) Guy Hilton and Verna Alice (Hess) Burns.

She married Roger Clifton Taylor in 1948, and to this union, 3 children were born.

She is survived by her daughter, Hope (husband, Sam) Bass; their children, Jimmy, Allison, and Jeremy 

Son, Steven Clifton Taylor (deceased) and daughter-in-law, Kathi Kerr-Taylor; their children, Jonathan, Christina, Allison, Melissa, Laura, Thomas, and Matthew

Son, Bradford Guy Taylor (deceased) and daughter-in-law, Debbie Taylor Nolan; their children, Clifton Guy (wife, Rebecca) Taylor, Jason Wayne Taylor (Fiancé, Samantha Huff), and Mackenna Taylor. 

Great-grandchildren, Zachary, Cheyanne, Emilee, Gracie, and several other great-grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Clifton Taylor; her sons, Steven Clifton Taylor and Bradford Guy "Brad" Taylor; her sister, Julia Eileen “Judy” Kerr; and her brother, Craig Leon Burns.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 12 pm until 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
