Edward Stanford "Pop" Zablocki, age 86, passed from this life on early May 3, 2024, Friday morning in his home, surrounded by those he loved.

He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 26, 1938, to the late Edward Joseph and Catherine Ann Zablocki.

Pop was a MP in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, and he remained an ardent patriot until his death. He was also an avid athlete in his younger years. Always faithful to his Pittsburgh Steelers and the Houston Astros. He was a golfer and loved spending his days either golfing or fishing.

The highlight of Pop's life has always been his son Eddie. He was a proud, loving, and devoted dad who loved Eddie more than anything or anyone.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, Eddie (Emily) Zablocki of Mill Springs, KY; his brother, Robert Zablocki of Punta Gorda, FL; and his previous wife and Eddie's mother, Carolyn Boston Speer of Mill Springs.

He is a beloved member of all the Boston family from Mill Springs.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 17, 2024, at 10 am at Mill Springs National Cemetery with burial to follow. Military honors will be provided by our local DAV Chapter 105.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to:  Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
