Edna Tucker was born on March 2, 1944, and departed this life on October 26, 2023, reaching the age of 79 years. She was the daughter of Raymond and Chloie Phillips Foster.

Edna attended Freedom School where she met the love of her life, Carlie Tucker, and they were united in marriage on September 29, 1962.

Leaving behind to cherish her memory are:  her husband of 61 years: Bro. Carlie Tucker;  3 daughters, Lisa (Phillip) Branscum, Lois (Hobert) Pitman, and Janet (Chad) Denney; 4 grandchildren, Victoria Branscum, Christopher Pitman, Laura (Andrew) Masters, and Chloie Denney; 1 great grandchild, Whyatt Masters; 3 brothers, Carl Foster, Boyd (Helen) Foster, Hayden (Tammi) Foster; and 2 sisters: Ethel Modglin and Carolyn (Eddie) Branscum; along with hosts of nieces, nephews and friends to mourn her passing.

Preceding her in death are her parents Raymond and Chloie Foster; 2 brothers, Harold and Elmer Foster.

Edna was a housewife who loved to cook, gardening, working on the farm, sewing, embroidering and quilting. She was devoted pastor's wife throughout Carlie's ministry.

Edna received Christ as her personal Savior on July 12, 1964, and was a member of the Lower Turkey Creek Baptist Church at the time of her passing.

Our loss is Heaven's gain.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 28, 2023 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Isaac Tucker Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be given to The Lower Turkey Creek Baptist Church, The Isaac Tucker Cemetery Fund or the Gideon Bible Plan.
