Obituary
Edith Gibson was born March 16, 1922 and departed this life Friday, March 18, 2011 reaching the age of 89. She was the daughter of the late Morgan Forbes Boone and Effie (Hutchison) Boone Kiger.
She was united in marriage to Robert Ryan "Bob" Gibson and to this union 2 children were born.
She is survived by: 1 son, Ralph (Paula) Gibson; and 1 grandson; Alec Ryan Gibson; 1 sister, Margaret Donthnier; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Morgan Boone and Effie Kiger, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Bob Gibson; 1 son, Gerald Gibson; 1 brother, Bob Boone; and 2 sisters, Billie Caylor and Frankie Garner.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 1 – 3 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 3 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Keith McKim officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
