Eddie Ray Melton was born March 7, 1961 and departed this life on Saturday, April 18, 2020 reaching the age of 59 years. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Ted and Jean Melton. Sister Betty Jean Melton.

On December 19, 1980, he was united in marriage to Sheila (Huckaby) who survives. To this union was born 2 sons, Eddie Lee (Amanda) Melton and Dustin (Mary Beth) Melton and 1 daughter, Kelly (Chris) Bell all of Monticello. He is also survived by, 8 grandchildren, Cheyenne, Chance, William Lane, Grace, & Ruben Melton, Tyson, Ansley and Harper Bell.

Also surviving are his siblings, Butch Melton, Diane Cole and Rosie York; along with many other family, friends and loved ones to mourn his passing.

He had accepted Jesus as his Savior and was a member of Little Community Baptist Church.

He deeply loved his family and will be greatly missed by all that loved him.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, and upon recommendations from the CDC for Funeral Homes, a PRIVATE funeral service will be held for Edgar "Eddie" Melton.
