Earshel Marie "Carrender" Lowe was born January 28, 1925 and departed this life Friday, July 5, 2013 reaching the age of 88. She was the daughter of the late Bob Carrender and Stella (Crabtree) Carrender.

She is survived by: 4 sons, Robert, Johnny (wife Bonnie), Tinker (wife Sandy), and Terry Lowe; 2 daughters, Dora Ann davis (husband Jackie), and Eugenia Lewis (husband Tommy); 3 brothers, Kay, Duke, and David Carrender; and 4 sisters, Elnora Bertram, Artemis Mikel, Della Patton, and Yvonne Chriswell. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Bob and Stella Carrender; 1 son, Jimmy Dale Lowe; and 2 grandchildren, Matthew Gregory and Gregory Bryant Lowe.

She was a mother and grandmother with unconditional love for her children, grandchildren, family, relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 7th, 2013 after 5pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 8th, 2013 at 1pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
