Douglas Wayne Walker was born September 28, 1959 and departed this life Thursday, March 14, 2013 reaching the age of 53. He was the son of Bettie Sue Miller and the late Ira Bruner.

He is survived by: his son, Trevor States; his daughter, Tabbatha Malone; and 3 grandchildren and 1 on the way. He is also survived by: his mother, Bettie Sue Miller; 2 brothers, Claude Eugene Puckett and Ira Bruner, Jr.; and 2 sisters, Lyla Bruner and Shannon Bruner; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Ira Bruner; his wife, Melvina Walker; grandson, Jaimie Elliott; and 1 brother, Ray Puckett.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 18, 2013 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 1 pm at the Roger's Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Chris Blevins and Bro. Danny Bell officiating. Burial will be in Roger's Grove Cemetery.
