Dottie Massengale was born September 29, 1937 and departed this life Tuesday, October 12, 2021 reaching the age of 84 years. She was the daughter of the late Millard and Montie Lee (Asberry) Rains.

She is survived by: one son, Ricky (Jackie) Massengale; one daughter, Shirley (James) Riddle; one sister, Ruth Hicks; three grandchildren, Brandon Massengale, Chad Riddle and Daniel Riddle; and five great grandchildren, Jasmine Boykin, Roxie Petersimes, Isabella Petersimes, Olivia Riddle, Braxton Riddle; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert Massengale; one granddaughter, Savannah Morrow; and one brother, Harvey Rains.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 15, 2021 between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
