Dorothy Francis, 80, died on December 23, 2010, at her residence.

Dorothy was born in Monticello, KY and lived in Cincinnati, OH most of her life. She worked part time as an Avon sales representative for over 30 years and enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Ladies. One year ago, Dorothy moved to Richmond Hill to live closer to her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Francis, Sr.

She was a great mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that will be deeply missed by the family she leaves behind, one son, Carl Francis, Jr. (Lesley) of Richmond Hill; two grandchildren, Carl Alexander Francis of Richmond Hill and Karrisa Marie Francis of Tampa, FL; one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Lauren Francis; her sister, Alice Gosser of Russell Springs, KY; and brothers, Joe Fred Cooper of Monticello, KY, Ray Cooper of Louisville, KY, James Cooper of Indianapolis, IN, and Gary Cooper of Monticello, KY.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

Visitation in Monticello, KY will be held Monday, December 27, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Marvin Hicks Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010,at New Charity Baptist Church in Monticello, KY with burial in Elk Spring Cemetery.
