Dorothy Kennedy Dodson died on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the age of 99. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Dorothy spent most of her life in Wayne County, Kentucky, where she and her husband, Leonard, ran the Delta post office and general store.

Dorothy spent her last 22 years in Centre, Alabama, where she was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Leonard Dodson, her son, Robert Dodson, her parents, John and Sadie Kennedy, and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Marie Baker Dodson, her granddaughter, Gretchen Dodson, and several nieces and nephews.

She was a kind, generous woman and will be greatly missed.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2 pm at the Elk Spring Cemetery Shelter. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
