Obituary
Doris Roberts was born May 9, 1928 and departed this life Wednesday, September 17, 2008 reaching the age of 80 years. She was the daughter of the late Richard Wilson Cooper, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Maupin.
She married Milton Roberts and to this union 2 children were born.
She is survived by: her husband - Milton Roberts of Monticello, KY, 1 son- Howard Wallace Roberts of Glenview, IL, 1 daughter – Wanda Darwin of Abingdon, MD, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by: 3 brothers- Richard Wilson Cooper, Jr. of Science Hill, KY, John Thompson Cooper, Sr. of Texarkan, Arkansas, and Mitchell Owen Cooper, Sr. of Lexington, KY, and 1 sister- Margaret Aurelia Cooper Garner of Lexington, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by: her parents – Richard and Mary Cooper.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation: Friday, September 19th after 1 pm
Funeral Service: Saturday, September 20th at 2 pm - First Baptist Church
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
