Doris Fairchild was born June 22, 1935 and departed this life Wednesday, November 26, 2014 reaching the age of 79 years. She was the daughter of the late Virgil and Anna (Coop) Ballenger.

She is survived by: 2 sons, Joe (Vickie) Fairchild and Bobby (Anita) Brake all of Monticello, KY; 8 grandchildren, Kimberly (Arthur) Crabtree, Kari (Steve) Sullivan, Jared Fairchild, Kristy (Michael) Parmley, Josh Fairchild, Ashley Fairchild, Tara Boston, and Ory Brake; and 10 great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kenzie, and Kassandra Crabtree, Kadence Fairchild, Chloe Haggard, Colton Parmley, Brayden Fairchild, Kaylee Sullivan, Terrance and Mariah Boston; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Virgil and Anna Ballenger, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Joe Bruce Fairchild; one son, Ricky Fairchild; two brothers, Reed and Wendell Ballenger; and two sisters, Christine Derossett and Irene Denney.


The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 29, 2014 after 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 2pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
