Dora Lewis was born March 6, 1927 and departed this life February 26, 2019, reaching the age of 91 years. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Bertha (Doss) Rigney.

She is survived by: her daughter, Shirley Carrender; five grandchildren, Lisa (Craig) Perkins, Sheila (Joe) Hicks, Robin (Mark) Lewis, Tiffany (Jeff) Patrick and Nicole (Matthew) Smith; twelve great grandchildren, Wesley and Jarrett Perkins, Marissa, Mariah, and Maria Hicks, Holden and Tristan Patrick, Bryant Dunagan, Jonathan, Josiah, Caleb and Sadie Smith; one great-great grandchild, Timothy Dunagan.  She is also survived by: two sisters, Lois Simpson and Betty Dishman; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Frank and Bertha Rigney, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Mack Lewis; three sons, Leonard Ray, Louis Hale, and Glen David Lewis; one sister, Dorthy Smith; four brothers, Bill Rigney, Eugene Rigney, Andrew Rigney and R.B. Tucker; and one great grandchild, Jeremy Hicks.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 2, 2019 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Tuttle's Chapel Cemetery.
