Donte Ja Bodnar was born June 17, 2003, and departed this life Saturday, June 20, 2026, reaching the age of 23 years.

He is survived by his mother, Kaytrina Cobb; his father, Daniel Bodnar, Sr. (Companion, Sandra Mart); one brother, Daniel Bodnar, Jr.; Fiance, Makayla Peed; along with a host of family, friends, and loved ones who will dearly miss him.

He had a love for fast cars and motorcycles, but knew how to slow down and enjoy the simpler things in life. He loved spending time on the lake and in the mountains, and truly enjoyed life. He was slow to anger, and always full of laughter. He always wanted what’s best for those around him that he loved, even if it meant making sure their meals were paid for. That’s just who he was.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Monticello First Church of the Nazarene at 8575 E Hwy 90, Monticello, KY 42633. Donte had a love for his hometown Cardinal football; the family asks that everyone wear his favorite colors, red and black, in his honor.
