Donna Jean Morris was born June 15 ^th , 1943 and departed this life on Friday, March 17 ^th , 2023, having reached the age of 79 years.  She was the daughter of the late Sam and Dovie (Foster) Brummett.

She is survived by:  her son, Phillip Edwards (Christy Crabtree); 3 grandchildren, Korbyn Edwards, Kason Pitman, and Keeley Coffey; 1 great grandchild, Kinley Lay; and one special niece, Samantha Foster.  She is also survived by her siblings, James "Racky" Brummett, Nancy Smith (Joe), Wanda McWhorter, Ann Savage, and Sue Adkins (Billy); along with a host of family and friends that mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Sam and Dovie Brummett, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Jimmy Brummett, Kenny Brummett, and Mary Guinn.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 21 ^st , 2023, from 5-8pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 22 ^nd , 2023, at 1pm at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Green Betty Cemetery.
