Donna Merlane Jones was born September 26, 1948, and departed this life Saturday, October 9, 2021, reaching the age of 73 years. She was the daughter of the late Virgil S. Barnett and Nell "Lucille" Chriswell.

She is survived by: her husband, David W. Jones; 1 brother, Jerry Barnett; 1 sister, Charlotte Morrow; nieces & nephews, Sonya, Delanna, Justin, Derek, Jason, and Lisa; along with a host of family and friends who mourns her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Howard and Darrell Wayne Barnett.

She was a loving wife, sister, aunt, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 14, 2021, between 12 pm – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
