Donna Sue Abner was born July 1, 1955, and departed this life Sunday, May 7, 2023, reaching the age of 67 years. She was the daughter of the late Earl Cecil Brown and Ella Mae Crabtree.

She is survived by: her loving husband of 50 years, Raymond "Bimbo" Abner; two sons, Bobby Joe Abner and Jason Abner; three daughters, Betsy Stringer, June Abner and Samantha Abner; ten grandchildren, Ashley Russell, Nathan Stringer, Alyssa Abner, Aaron Abner, Mallie Abner, Landon Abner, Greyson Rector, Christopher Atkins, Donnie Ray Turner, Cheyenne Birchum; six great grandchildren, Jacob Hall, Jeffrey Hall, Jackson Russell, Athan Stringer, Zaylee Stringer, and Zayden Stringer; one brother, Earl Brown; and her dog, Mouse; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; one son, Jeffrey Raymond Abner aka Cookie Monster; three brothers, Lester Crabtree, Willie Crabtree, and Charles Robert Brown; and four sisters, Pearl Foster; Kathryn Crabtree, Opal Davis; and Alice Carrol.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 11, 2023, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Hill Top Cemetery.
